VILLANI Demetrio

Demetrio Villani is a PhD student in Organised Crime Studies at the University of Milan with a research project focusing on the theme of environmental crime in Lombardy, with particular regard to the study of regulatory instruments and possible forms of preventing and combating the phenomenon of arson and illegal waste trafficking. He graduated in Law in 2020, at the same University, discussing a thesis in criminal law entitled "A partire da Mafia Capitale. Le nuove frontiere dell'applicazione del delitto di associazione di tipo mafioso (Art. 416 bis c.p.)", supervisor Prof. Fabio Basile. He is a member of the Global Network for Human Rights and the Environment (GNHRE). In October 2022, he qualified as a lawyer, an activity in which he mainly deals with environmental criminal law.
