FiNIZIO Antonio

Dr. Finizio graduated in Agricultural Sciences in 1989 at the University of Naples. In 1993 he obtained his PhD in "Chemistry, Biochemistry and Ecology of Pesticides" at the University of Milano. Antonio Finizio is presently associate professor at the Department of Environmental and Earth Sciences at the University of Milano Bicocca. The research activity of Dr. Finizio is oriented towards the two major aspects of the environmental risk assessment: evaluation of the effects and evaluation of the exposure, particularly for pesticides. The aim is to produce predictive tools for an appropriate management of potentially dangerous chemical substances. Dr. Finizio has been scientific consultant of the Italian Environmental Protection Agency (ANPA) and member of the Italian Committee for Medicinal Products for Veterinary use (CMPV).
Currently is member of the CVMP-ERAWP group for the European Medicine Agency (EMA) and member of the expert panel for the environmental risk assessment of feed additives at the european food and safety authority (EFSA). Dr. Finizio is involved in several national and international research projects and has published more than 100 papers on relevant national and international journals.
