Biography

Vittorio Fazio was born in Messina on 14 August 1996.
In 2015, he obtained his Classical Secondary School Diploma from the "Nicola Spedalieri" State Classical Lyceum in Catania.
In April 2022, he graduated with first-class honours in Law (single-cycle Master's degree) from the University of Catania, defending a thesis in Comparative Constitutional Justice entitled "Constitutional Courts and the Primacy of EU Law," under the supervision of Professor Giancarlo Antonio Ferro.
Immediately after graduating, he completed an eighteen-month training internship at the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Court of Appeal of Catania, under the programme established by Article 73 of Legislative Decree No. 69 of 21 June 2013 (converted, with amendments, by Law No. 98 of 9 August 2013 and subsequent amendments).
In July 2023, he was admitted to the PhD programme in Law at the University of Catania (39th Cycle – Constitutional Law curriculum), winning a scholarship funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
During the same academic year, he was also admitted to the School of Specialisation for the Legal Professions of the same Law Department. He obtained the relevant academic qualification in June 2025, receiving an award for achieving the highest final grade.
As part of the specialisation course, he also completed a further six-month training internship at the Office of the Public Prosecutor of Catania (internship under Article 37 of Legislative Decree No. 98/2011, converted into Law No. 111/2011).
From October 2024, he has been successful in several university calls to carry out (both qualified and unqualified) tutoring activities for the Constitutional Law module, a role he continues to hold.
Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, he has been appointed an Adjunct Professor for the modules of Constitutional Law and Constitutional Justice, and has also been included in the relevant examination boards of the Law Department of the University of Catania (Constitutional Law A/C, D/Le, Li/Q, R/Z and Constitutional Justice A/Z). Similarly, he has been appointed an Adjunct Professor in Health Law for the Nursing degree programme established within the Department of Medical, Surgical and Advanced Technologies of the University of Catania.
